Who we are
Dueck Residential is a residential general contractor serving Tacoma, Washington and the surrounding South Puget Sound. We plan and build — remodels, renovations, additions, finish carpentry, and painting — and we take on light commercial work such as tenant improvements and build-outs. Our work is deliberately focused: we'd rather run residential and light commercial projects carefully than stretch into work that doesn't fit.
A growing focus on development
Alongside the contracting work, we're building a residential real estate development arm — bringing our construction experience to small-scale projects and partnering with owners and investors on what to build next. We're a general contractor first, and we'll be straight with you about where our development work is today rather than overstate a track record we're still building. If you're weighing a build opportunity in the South Sound, we'd like to be part of that conversation.
Who we serve
We work with homeowners planning a remodel or addition, with people preparing a property to buy, sell, or move into, and with owners, property managers, and investors coordinating rentals, commercial spaces, and new projects. Different clients, but the same expectation: a builder who treats the property with care and keeps everyone informed.

We plan structure, prep, and protection around the real condition of the project, not a generic checklist.

You'll know the scope, the schedule, and what to expect — and we'll flag anything that needs a closer look.
Respect for your property
Careful protection of floors, finishes, fixtures, and landscaping, and tidy work areas throughout the build.
A clean finish
We clean up, walk the completed project with you, and don't call it done until you've seen it.
Why preparation and communication matter
Most construction problems trace back to two things: preparation that was skipped and expectations that were never made clear. A build only lasts when what's behind the finish was done right. And a project only feels smooth when you understand what's happening and when. We treat both as part of the work, not extras.

We're a service-area business centered on Tacoma, and we travel to nearby communities including Lakewood, University Place, Fircrest, Puyallup, Fife, Gig Harbor, Federal Way, and other parts of Pierce County and South King County. James Dueck
Co-Founder & Chief Executive OfficerBorn and raised in Federal Way, James brings a background in sales and property services to how the business is run day to day. He spent two years living in Mexico City before coming back home to the South Sound. Outside the office, you'll catch him on the golf course or the pickleball courts.
Jeremiah Ross-Seru
Co-Founder & Managing DirectorJeremiah's background is in real estate sales, with prior experience as an account executive at REI and Hawx Pest Control. That relationship-first, real-estate-minded approach carries over into how he runs projects, manages client accounts, and shapes where the development side of the business is headed.
